John Woodin to join Greg Stone Media Consulting:

Greg Stone Media Consulting announced today John Woodin, president of Aeromedia Network and former vice-president and general manager of KIRO-TV, the CBS affiliate in Seattle, WA., joins the company July 1.

"John brings a vast array of experience to our company, having been in broadcasting, production and newspapers for more than 40 years," said Stone. "He is a valuable addition to our team." Woodin began his broadcast career with CBS News in Chicago and was a television reporter, editor, and producer, producing Oprah Winfrey's first newscast in Baltimore, MD. He was also a newspaper editor in Maryland and Florida, before returning to television as news director in several markets, including Atlanta, at Cox-owned WSB-TV. While in Cox, he was promoted to vice president and general manager of WHIO-TV in Dayton, OH., and later to his position in Seattle, which he held for nearly 10 years. At Aeromedia Network, Woodin oversees the sales and production of advertising for in-flight entertainment systems on airlines, primarily Alaska Airlines, and has worked with Delta, United and some international systems. "I am excited to work with Greg," said Woodin, who worked for Stone at WSB. "Together, we make a terrific team that can add experience and creativity to any organization."
